Privacy Policy

GOly (“we”, “us”) is published by Nuvira Technology. This policy explains what information the GOly app and this website handle, and applies wherever GOly is distributed, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. GOly requires no account, contains no advertising, and does not sell your data or use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Trip tracking (only if you use it). When you track a trip, we receive the trip details (train or bus identifier, stations and scheduled times), a randomly generated device identifier, and your push notification and Live Activity tokens. This lets us monitor transit data and deliver notifications and Live Activity updates. The identifier is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or contacts.

Diagnostics. If a request to the transit data provider keeps failing, the app may send a minimal technical report: the failed request path, failure reason, attempt count, app version and OS version. Reports contain no personal information.

Subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple (or Google). We receive subscription status from the store, never your payment details.

On-device data. Preferences, favourites and appearance settings are stored on your device, including the shared storage used by the GOly widget, and are not sent to us.

Location. GOly does not request or collect your device location. Maps show station and vehicle positions published by the transit agency.

Support emails. If you contact us, we receive your email address and message, used only to respond.

To show live departures and alerts, deliver tracked-trip notifications and Live Activities, verify your subscription, diagnose and fix errors, and answer support requests. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.

Transit data: schedules, departures, alerts and vehicle positions come from the Metrolinx Open Data API. Requests are routed through our server, which does not pass on your identity.

Hosting: our server runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests and standard logs (such as IP address and timestamps) on our behalf.

Push delivery: notifications and Live Activity updates are delivered through Apple Push Notification service.

Maps and payments: Apple Maps and the App Store (or the equivalent Google services) are governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with these service providers as needed to run GOly.

Tracked-trip records are deleted when you stop tracking, when the trip ends, or automatically after a few days. Device records that stay inactive expire automatically, and push tokens are deleted when they become invalid. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

You can stop tracking any trip in the app, turn off notifications and Live Activities in your device settings, or uninstall GOly at any time. To ask what we hold or to request deletion of data associated with your device identifier, email support@nuvira.technology. Depending on where you live (including under Canada’s PIPEDA, the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection, and we honour these requests for all users.

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we limit what we collect.

GOly is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

Apple App Store: the App Privacy details reflect this policy. Identifiers (device ID) and Diagnostics are collected, are not linked to your identity, and are not used for tracking.

Google Play: the Data safety form reflects this policy. Device or other IDs and app diagnostics are collected, encrypted in transit, not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and can be deleted on request as described above.

We may update this policy and will change the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
